Oats Pongal in Instant Pot

Oats Pongal is very healthy and easy recipe. ˇPongal with oats tastes better than rice.

Ingredients : 

  • Oats – 1 cup ( Rolled oats )
  • Moong dal – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Ghee (or) Oil – 2 Teaspoons
  • Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Peppericorn – 1 Teaspoon
  • Ginger – 1 Teaspoon ( chopped)
  • Cashews – few
  • Curry Leaves

Procedure :

On Saute

  • Add :
    • Ghee
    • Cumin Seeds
    • Peppericorns
    • Ginger
    • Cashews
    • Curry leaves
      • Fry till Cashews are light golden color.
  • Add :
    • Oats & Saute a minute
    • Moong dal & Saute a minute
    • Water
    • Salt
      • Mix Well
    • Cancel Saute
    • Close the lid and Seal vent
  •  Manual – 10 Minutes
  • Pressure – HIGH
  • Release – Quick release after 5 minutes

Serve with Sambar.
